International students who meet the co-op admission requirements for their degree program are eligible to participate in the program.
- You can apply for a co-op as an international student if you meet the following criteria:
- you have a current study permit
- Work is required to finish your studies in Canada.
- You have a letter from your school confirming that all students in your program must complete work placements in order to graduate.
- Your co-op placement accounts for 50% or less of your total study time.

How Many Hours Can I Work On a Co-Op Work Permit?
Your study permit will state whether or not you are permitted to work off-campus. If so, you are permitted to work:
